Esse foi o meu maior trabalho feito até hoje, sem dúvida, espero que eu possa fazer algo maior logo. Graças a Brookfield Construtora e a revista espanhola ®ROJO essa área de quase 700 metros quadrados foi o suporte para essa nova experiência que levou eu ver o meu trabalho de outra forma. Aprendi muitas coisas de materiais novos, suportes novos e muitas outras coisas que não daria para escrever por aqui. A idéia inicial foi usar imagens que fiz dos centros urbanos que tenho passado, mas claro, focando em São Paulo, até pq essa era uma obra em homenagem ao aniversário de SP, minha cidade natal que eu tanto odeio e que tanto dependo para meu trabalho e minha vida. As imagens selecionadas foram manipuladas digitalmente para que se tornassem, juntas, uma única obra, porem cada imagem está lá inteira, sem ter sido cortada ou editada, elas foi apenas arranjada de maneira que se enquadrasse com as outras. Acredito que graficamente o resultado funcionou e gostei bastante da obra final, ainda mais por nunca ter feito nada parecido. Sem a assistência de Renan Cruz, Luis, CDR e Jayelle Hudson esse trabalho tão importante não seria possível de maneira alguma. Muito obrigado a todos envolvidos e as pessoas que passara por lá e se manifestaram sobre o trabalho, isso é o mais legal de trabalhar na rua. This is my largest work ever, no doubt, I hope I can make something larger soon. Thanks for the people from Brookfield Constructions and the spanish magazine ®ROJO to have an area of 6,996.542 sq ft (yes, it is huge!) to me to try so many new ideas, supports, techniques and thoughts. This panel made me look at my work a different way as well, and this is amazing. The initial idea was to use images of cities I’ve visited along these years, but having the focus in São Paulo, even that the work was a homenage to the anniversary of São Paulo city, my homeland, the city that I hate so much and depend of it so much as well. The images that I selected were manipulated, edited to be a unique big image. None of images used were cut or edit, all the images are full but as they were duplicated and flipped the big image is a massive pattern of many pictures together. Without the support of Renan Cruz, Luis, CDR and Jayelle Hudson this work so important was not possible anyway. Thank you so much to everybody involved on it and all of those that had visit and made comments and share they positive or negative opinion about it. That is the best thing to work on the street. If you are in São Paulo and want to look at the walls, they are at the corner of Rua Augusta with Rua Caio Prado, and the other one is on Rua Avanhandava in front of the number 272.
